What’s New in DistillerSR: Automatic Reference Update, Broader Integration with Technology Ecosystem and Cross-Project To-Do List

Puzzle Pieces Integration Concept

Literature reviews continue to grow larger and more complex, especially in highly-regulated healthcare markets. With this in mind, we are focused on our ongoing mission to help researchers complete their work faster, more accurately, and more cost-effectively by persistently automating manual processes and leveraging AI in the literature review process.

This latest release further enhances DistillerSR’s workflow automation features including the automatic import of newly published references and citations, direct connections to full-text articles from internal e-libraries, broader integration with third-party “software platforms”, and centralized access to remaining work across reviews.

Automatically update references and citations

Importing references and citations manually throughout the literature review process can be slow and error-prone. That’s why further enhancements were made to DistillerSR’s LitConnect ensuring references and citations are regularly updated through auto-alerts from third-party databases. This eliminates the need for manual searches re-run for living reviews and one-off reviews.

Connect to internal full-text source records and stop repurchasing documents

Researchers know well the struggle of procuring full-text documents. DistillerSR new custom OpenURL functionality enables researchers to link directly to their full-text content from within their internal source records and public data providers such as PubMed and PMC. Simply put, this functionality prevents accidental document repurchasing and minimizes copyright compliance issues.

Bridge the gap between multiple applications

An API (Application Programming Interfaces) is essentially a software intermediary that allows two applications to communicate. This new iteration of DistillerSR introduces a publicly-accessible API that will enable customers to securely integrate DistillerSR with a broader technology ecosystem such as, safety databases, external AI and predictive analytics applications, reporting systems, and data lakes.

Simplify cross-project workload tracking

Managing all your tasks while conducting multiple reviews just became easier. The newest DistillerSR release allows you to visualize all your work in a single, centralized location. This new feature combined with DistillerSR automatic real-time notifications for new work, will help you stay focused and on top of your workload.
